How I Work
This is a step-by-step description of the design process. Mouse-over/touch each step for more details.
1) The Meeting
A Free Consultation
The conversation begins
This can be over the phone, in-person or via Skype. We talk about your website needs, likes and dislikes. I help you determine what will help you achieve your goals. This give me enough information to give you an accurate estimate.
2) The Proposal
Customized for your project
An agreement and plan
A few days after we meet, I send you a complete estimate, a document about working with me and a contract. A signed contract and deposit are required to begin work. You will then start collecting your content and sending it to me.
3) The Mock Up
We build your website together
On a temporary hosting location
Once you have provided all your site content, we begin the process by building a live website hidden from search. We add your theme, content, style & fine-tune it. I share link via email. We test on major devices & browsers.
4) The Launch
Making your website live
On your hosting and url
After you approve the mock-up, we migrate our design files and database to your hosting. If you don't have a hosting or a domain, I assist in setting up accounts in your name. We test further and make last minute adjustments if needed.
5) The Training
Learning the basics
Making DIY changes
Your site is live and ready for you! In a 30-60 minute session (in person/phone/Skype) I can show you the basics of WordPress and how to make simple changes to your website. This is an optional service for you or an employee. Up to 4 people in person.
6) The Care Plan
Keeping your website safe
Updates, virus scans, & back-ups
Like any software, WordPress requires updates on a regular basis. It's also a great idea to make back-ups of your site and do virus scans on a regular basis. All site launched receive a free month of this service for you evaluation.
Webcami provides website design maintenance for all clients
