Introducing My Client:
The Center for Active Living, formerly known as the West Seattle Senior Center, is a welcoming community hub that promotes connection, healthy activities, and meaningful engagement for older adults. Located in the heart of the West Seattle Junction, the center offers daytime and evening programs that bring people together to stay active and connected as they age.
The Task at Hand:
With a new name, logo, and rebranding effort led by Lindsay Fournier Graphic Design, The Center for Active Living needed a website that reflected its modern identity and growing programs. Their previous site lacked functionality, including an easy-to-use calendar and clear organization for blogs and events. They also required staff training to manage updates independently.
A Team Approach:
Working alongside the marketing team, I designed and developed a user-friendly WordPress website using Beaver Builder. The new site features a robust calendar for events and activities, an expanded blog for updates and news, and intuitive navigation to help visitors find information quickly. I collaborated closely with their marketing service provider and trained the staff to confidently manage and update the website.
Tangible Outcomes:
The redesigned website now serves as a resource for the community, showcasing programs, events, and services while reflecting the center’s rebranding. Staff can easily update content, manage the calendar, and share news, ensuring the site stays fresh and informative. The center’s modern online presence has increased visibility, strengthened community engagement, and made it easier for members to participate in activities.
A Tip to Consider:
When rebranding your organization, don’t overlook the importance of updating your website. A well-planned redesign can integrate new features, simplify management, and ensure your online presence grows alongside your mission.
