5K Fundraiser Web Design
WebCami has provided support for the West Seattle 5K since 2013. Here's the latest version.
Introducing My Client:
The West Seattle High School PTSA sponsors the West Seattle 5K Run/Walk to raise funds to support music, arts, sciences, communications and other educational programs at West Seattle High School and to help the PTSA continue its mission of making every child's potential a reality.
The Task at Hand:
Their website design had not been updated in close to 5 years and many volunteers were finding the site hard to update, with abandoned pages and unused features.
A Team Approach:
We chose to use the Beaver Builder to give the site a new look, but to also give future volunteers a "drag and drop" interface to work with.
Tangible Outcomes:
Sponsor logo management was a breeze compared to years past. New photos can easily be added within the page builder without extra plugins needed. Training videos were recorded for future users.
A Tip to Consider:
When volunteers run your website, you need to make it as friendly as possible to understand and update. It also helps to have a web designer in the neighborhood!
(My son graduated from West Seattle High School in 2015 and I have volunteered for this non-profit during his high school years and continue to do so now. The run also happens in my neighborhood of Alki Beach).
