Uncle John’s Pancake House
A restaurant website converts from Wix to WordPress and then pivots during a pandemic.
Meet my client: Bay Area restaurant owner Matt Westley needed a website for a new restaurant, Brew City Grill, opening in 2019. He was pleased with the results and decided his existing restaurant, Uncle John's Pancake House, needed a website makeover, too.
What was needed: His menu was PDF only and hard to read on mobile devices.
Our solution: We added a text-based page for his menu that's completely mobile-friendly and easy to update.
Proven results: Uncle John's Pancake House website is now ready for a robust SEO campaign.
Remember this! If your website is not mobile responsive, your search rankings are suffering. Google wants all sites to be mobile-friendly. Test your site here!
Modifying the website for the COVID-19 pandemic
Update 2021: After making several adjustments to the website to put an emphasis on online ordering during the pandemic, we converted the site to a one-page design in the Spring of 2021.
The changes we made helped keep a steady flow of orders coming and Uncle John's Pancake House will open a second location in San Jose, CA in the summer of 2021. The new site is ready to accommodate their expansion. It now consists of five pages and can be expanded for future growth.
