Private School Web Design
Creating a User-Friendly Platform to Enhance Community Engagement
Introducing My Client:
Explorer West Middle School, located in West Seattle, is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment that emphasizes personal integrity, environmental respect, and community service. Since 2005, they have partnered with WebCami Site Design to manage and evolve their online presence.
The Task at Hand:
Explorer West initially managed an ASP.net website before transitioning to WordPress and, eventually, a mobile-responsive design. In 2020, the school sought another upgrade to enhance usability and ensure the site remained a valuable resource for students, families, and staff.
A Team Approach:
We upgraded Explorer West’s website using the Beaver Builder framework, focusing on a design that allows staff members to easily update content. This user-friendly approach ensures that the school’s website remains dynamic and relevant, with the flexibility to adapt as the school’s needs evolve.
Tangible Outcomes:
Over the years, WebCami Site Design has trained various staff members, teachers, and administrators in using WordPress, empowering them to effectively communicate with families, students, and the broader community. The updated site continues to serve as a vital tool for fostering engagement and keeping the school community connected.
A Tip to Consider:
When designing a website, it’s crucial to prioritize ease of use for both visitors and administrators. A user-friendly backend allows organizations to keep their content fresh and engaging without unnecessary complexity.
